How it all started...
SBCC's story story began in 1953 and continues to be written in 2021. Our founders promised to watch over one another in brotherly love; to remember each other in prayer; to aid each other in sickness and distress; to cultivate Christian sympathy in feeling and courtesy in speech; to be slow to take offense, but always ready for reconciliation and to support the Church for the spread of the Gospel, both near and throughout the world. These are timeless promises that we continue to build on today.
Expanding the vision...
Adhering to the infallible Word of God as the cornerstone of our faith and practice, we endeavor, by the aid of the Holy Spirit, to walk together in Christian love; to strive to share the Gospel for the advancement of God's Kingdom, so that all peoples and nations will come to the knowledge of His saving grace.
Where we are headed...
As part of the EFCA's Eastern District Association we aren’t just a church, we are part of a mission. This mission is all about reaching the 43 million people, from NY to Virginia, with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. There is a place for you in our church to help in this mission. Ministry is entrusted to every member of the church. Every member is gifted and called to use their gifts God has given them to serve in some way that enables the church as a whole to be at maximum for the sake of God's Kingdom. We invite you to be a part of this ministry and mission!
